God Will Save Us from the Clergy

God Will Save Us from the Clergy

Weekly Sermon, 2 April 2023

By Pastor Sheldon Emry

This may be a strange statement but it’s true. It’s the clergy that has, over the decades, departed from the Word of God and has led His people astray. Many of them are Baal priests. Have you ever wondered that, when there was a large church going population, and millions of leaflets were published, that our country continued to go down hill more and more with more degeneracy, crime, wars and poverty? This should not be IF the clergy did their part and, IF the Christians did their part – such as throwing out modern-day Baal Priests.

Cognitive Dissonance and the Christian

Cognitive Dissonance and the Christian

By Pastor Mark Downey

I read recently that scientists had discovered that goldfish had a memory retention of two seconds.  So you could imagine two goldfish in a bowl complete with castle and plants talking to each other.  First goldfish, “Look at that castle.”  Second goldfish, “What is a castle?”  First goldfish, “Why do you ask?”  Second goldfish, “Ask what?”

Cognitive DissonanceThere are an increasing number of people like that in our society.  But, goldfish swim all their lives in that bowl and are unaware of the water they swim in.  Some people are completely oblivious to the intellectual and spiritual sea we swim in with all of the philosophical undercurrents and riptides.  That ocean of information has been spawned by mass media and various mediums of persuasion.  When Daniel (12:4) spoke of “an increase in knowledge”, he may have been alluding to an information overload.  Because of this saturation bombing of the mind, the world is in a state of confusion and chaos.  And this is by design to mold public opinion like putty.

Before I launch into this message, let me first establish the premise and a few definitions. The Bible is looked at in a variety of prejudicial perspectives.  However, if we look at it simply as cause and effect, we can see God’s design much better.  In other words, when God says for us to do something His way and we don’t, then what He says will be the consequences, will come to pass.  He may even set up the basest, lowest scumbags of men to rule over us, if we fail to obey Him (Daniel 4:17).  The problem is that many who profess to believe in God do not follow through with the requirements of a believer.  It leads to cognitive dissonance and is complicated by non-believers submitting their demands for an empirical Bible.

There’s an uncanny link between the cause of weather and the effects of calamity in nature.  But first, let’s define cognitive dissonance (hereafter referred to as CD) before we relate the supernatural to the natural world.  CD is a state of opposition between mental processes, such as belief systems, and can be understood in terms of a means to an end, especially when an excess of abstractions are coupled with an equal amount of concrete tangibles.  When two competing beliefs are held simultaneously, a person is in a state of CD.  This mental state compels a person to create or modify new thoughts in order to minimize the dissonance (conflict) and remain in their comfort zones.

Thus, when a person is given the suggestion to lie without any justification, they will reconcile the situation by thinking that they are telling the truth.  This kind of psychological manipulation has been exploited for years by social engineers to persuade us that the emperor has his clothes on.  Otherwise, the people might feel very unpleasant and disturbed about naked leaders and take direct action to remove them from sight.  The Bible warns us about cognitive dissonance.  “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt ye between two opinions?” I Kings 18:21.  And James 1:8, “A double minded man is unstable in all his way.”

To further illustrate this insidious bipolar mindset, people who smoke know it’s a bad habit, but rationalize it by telling themselves that it keeps their weight down and that there’s a greater health threat from being overweight.  Other people overcome the habit cold turkey.  They have resolved the CD i.e. the issues of gluttony and smoking.  The question persists as to why some people react to conflict with absolute incompetence. CD has been called the mind controllers best friend.

Early CD research in the 1950’s looked at a UFO cult waiting to be picked up by flying saucers, just before the earth was to be destroyed by a massive flood on Dec. 21, 1954. When this date came and went, the cult leader figured God spared the world from the cataclysm, because the group of believers had spread so much light with their impeccable faith.  Most of the cult followers became even more fanatical devotees after the prophecy failed.  A few members left the cult when the world didn’t end and realized the con game.  For those who stayed, being wrong turned them into ardent believers and perfect guinea pigs for CD.  However, their belief was not based on the Word of God, but on the word of man.

The mind control technique of CD spawned super-salesmen like cult leaders Jim Jones, Charles Manson and Marshall Applewhite.  Some conspiracy theorists have speculated that these cult groups were CIA operations.  The Bush family is no stranger to the CIA as Poppy was once its director and benefactor of such psychological warfare programs as MK-ULTRA.  In a slip of the tongue, George H.W. Bush admitted, “If the people knew what we had done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us.”  If we can recognize the formula used by cult groups, it is not that difficult to identify a national government doing the same thing, but on a much more grandiose scale.

If a cult group predicts the end of the world and their doomsday comes and goes without much fanfare, they respond to this dismal failure to prophesy by suggesting that their activities warded off the anticipated apocalypse and then begins the mental processing to proselytize us on the grounds that theirs is the most effective belief system for averting calamities.  The biblical admonition against false prophets is ignored.  A sane person might think that they couldn’t predict anything even if their lives depended on it.  Such thinking would produce dissonance or conflict within the cult. Thinking that they had been successful does not produce dissonance, although CD is at the heart of the operation.

The inmates are running the asylum rings a familiar Pavlovian bell.  If the government can prophesize a ‘war on terror’ with no end in sight, we could be in a perpetual war for perpetual peace ad infinitum, going from perpetual yellow to orange Orwellian alerts, without much of a hullabaloo, other than the occasional planned demolitions of large buildings  and loss of life.  They can claim that by ‘staying the course’ in fighting terrorism, they have saved the country from some larger catastrophic disaster.

The concept of CD helps reveal why it’s taking so long for so many Americans to assimilate the suppression and distortion of information leading to the truth that it is criminal politics, not non-jewish terrorism, taking us down the path of death and destruction. In spite of a controlled media, Americans are becoming cognizant that we were duped into war because we were lied to.  The CD noise machine tells the American people what they want to hear and see.  The medium is the massage: the President knows what he’s doing and the war is going along just fine. Mothers of slain soldiers, like Cindy Sheehan, are snapping out of their CD and have zero tolerance for bloodthirsty war-mongers-for-profit.

The CD that life goes on and the good ole US of A is the greatest nation on earth is the luxurious thinking of fools.  When our enemies from within get desperate and when we come to our senses, the eternal war of good and evil between Jacob-Israel and Esau-Edom may escalate to biblical proportions even in our lifetime.  Things may happen like hurricane Katrina or bird flu’s and the recent earthquake/tsunami in Japan, which are blamed on nature.  However, a much more nefarious source can be detected.  This is not to say that God is not in control.  Divine omnipotence ordains and condemns the conflict between order and disorder.  “I form the light, and create darkness… I the Lord do all these things” Is. 45:7.

Both self-destruction and self-control are self-imposed and subject to the laws of God. Could it be that weather is incumbent upon our Cognitive Providence?  In other words, our wisdom to discern the blessings and curses of nature through God.  Christian Identity has been preaching II Chronicles 7:14 i.e. how to heal our land, for years… decades!  The non-believer will scoff at such ideas, but no scientist has ever explained how weather works, especially cataclysmic events.  Science does like to play God though and strives to create life in a tes

t tube and also manipulate atmospheric conditions for malevolent motivations with this HAARP technology that they don’t want you to know about.  There’s no doubt about it.  Mad men want to control you and the world.  Nothing could be more satanic than mortals at war with Providence.

The ultimate irony is that they suffer from CD more so than those they inculcate it with, because God is not mocked; indeed God mocks science (I Tim. 6:20).  “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Luke 18:27).  If God is not the author of confusion (I Cor. 14:33), then somebody else must be.  That would be those who disregard, disobey and alienate themselves from the life God provides.  Not only that, but God darkens and blinds their understanding as they walk only in the vanity of their own mind (Eph. 4:17-18).  The New World Order boys are a sick-minded and dangerous lot.

Truth is a mystery that is only revealed to the faithful (I Tim. 3:16).  When people don’t love receiving the truth, God sends them strong delusion (II Thes. 2:10-11).  There is your cause of confusion and the effects thereof.  Jesus told the residents of Capernaum that the Day of Judgment for them would be worse than Sodom (Mt. 11:24) and that God would hide divine knowledge from clever intellectuals and give it to simple men (v.25).

Babel means confusion and modern Babylon may build great cities and wax rich, but it’s destined for destruction.  There’s a reason they’re pumping the Trump Towers of Babel here lately; ‘the Donald’ is a team player; nobody gets that rich without selling their soul to the devils.  “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, they shall build, but I will throw down” Mal. 1:4.  “Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the Lord, and whose deeds are done in a dark place, and they say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?” You turn things around! Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay, that what is made should say to its maker, “He did not make me”; or what is formed say to him who formed it, “He has no understanding?” Isaiah 29:15-16.  What greater insubordination is there, than to tell God what His business is or should be?  And going about to make it so. This brings us to the verses in the Bible, “In the beginning God created heaven and earth.  And the earth was without form, and void.   And darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” Gen. 1:1-2.  Evidently, in prehistoric times our planet suffered tremendous ruin.  We don’t have much in the way of specifics other than the term “without form, and void”, which in Hebrew is ‘tohu va bohu’ and may help us get a better picture of what was going on.

In Isaiah 34 we have a vivid description depicting the total desolation of Edom as a perpetual monument of God’s judgment for all successive generations.  “For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance… from generation to generation it shall lie waste; no one shall pass through it forever and ever” Is. 34:8-10.  The following verse contains the Hebrew phrase tohu va bohu where the only creatures dwelling there are scavenger birds: “And He shall stretch out over it the line of confusion [tohu] and the stones of emptiness [bohu].”  This is a metaphor for the architect’s measuring line (horizontal) and plumb bob (vertical).  In other words, total desolation in every direction.

We find these two words again in Jeremiah 4:22-23 dealing with Israel in association with divine judgment.  “For My people are foolish… they have no understanding… to do good they have no knowledge… I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form [tohu] and void [bohu].”  Here we see a picture of desolation resulting from God’s judgment, which references the only other place in Scripture that deals with the tohu va bohu or more succinctly the confusion and emptiness of Genesis 1:2, “And the earth was without form (tohu) and void [bohu].”  “Was” in Hebrew means ‘became’.  Isaiah 45:18 corresponding to Gen. 1:1 i.e. God creating the earth in the beginning, tells us that He didn’t create it in vain.  The word rendered “vain” is tohu describing chaos and confusion.  God did not create the earth in a wasted state; nevertheless, it somehow became a waste.  No matter how one explains the cause of this condition, there is a time lapse between the first and second verse of Genesis 1.  The effect of what happened to the earth is not speculation: it became a tohu!

To be fair and balanced, some Bible scholars do not believe that ‘without form and void’ means laid waste by judgment.  They suggest a mere land mass covered by water being featureless and unformed (tohu) without any inhabitants, unfilled (bohu). However, Jeremiah 4:23-27, which mentions the parallel to Gen. 1:2, informs us that mountains trembled and all the cities were broken down at the presence of the Lord by His fierce anger.  Cities usually imply people; therefore we have the implication of pre-Adamic peoples.  We might also notice trembling mountains as some kind of violent shaking.  This has a poignant association with Paul’s exhortation in Hebrews 12:26 speaking of the voice that shook the earth for the removing of those things that are shaken so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  What’s most interesting here is the phrase, “Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.”  The word “shake” is the Greek word seio (#4579 – Strong’s) from which we get the word seismology – the study of earthquakes.  Evidently, the ‘Yet once more’ mirror image of Genesis 1:1-2 (a pre-Adamic world of pristine beauty, becoming corrupted with the catastrophic occurrences of earthquakes, volcanoes, continental shift, floods and upheaval ending in total desolation), has Paul suggesting an encore performance.

The earth became a tohu and water covered it, and it says darkness was upon the face of the deep. This could be the abyss or ‘bottomless pit’ mentioned elsewhere in Scripture.  The abyss and darkness are foreboding.  Darkness is that which opposes God, Who Himself is Light. Imagine the abyss as a huge symbolic garbage can in which all adversarial elements against God are disposed of.

We Christians believe that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature and the old ways are defunct.  If there is a new creation, then it is in contradistinction to an old one. The old creation hearkens back to the world that was in Genesis 1:1-2.  “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” II Cor. 4:6.  This is what God was doing with the tohu and bohu in Genesis and it continues to fluctuate to this day.  God took the “formlessness and void” out of the picture and made Paradise for Adam and Eve.  Then we see the Created Order as it ought to be, only to be followed by the Fall of man as the tohu va bohu begins to creep back into the pristine order of God’s handiwork.

We can witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ designed to restore the mess made of it all by the Fall.  The Gospel is not about the hyper-individual, but about what God is doing. The Fall began a series of preoccupations with self-interests, rather than being about our Father’s business.  The Bible is inspired and different than the millions of other books.  God created eyes and ears and helped to invent writing and reading; not so that man could write millions of books about himself, but so that we would have the faculties to fellowship with our Creator and that comes about by communing with His Word.

The Word has come under attack from the beginning, but a remnant of His people are beginning to see the law and the prophets of ancient times, bringing a message that God is destroying evil, as well as creating good.  The Lord sits as a refiner and purifier of gold and silver and shall purge the dross far from His people.

In Isaiah 41:29, God describes idolaters as, “Worthless; their works are nothing; their molded images are wind and confusion [tohu].”  People get blown away by the idols of their heart. They are out of order and fallen from grace.  The effects of God’s judgment can be devastating. Indeed, “The Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste, distorts its surface and scatters abroad its inhabitants… the city of confusion [tohu] is broken down” (Is. 24:24:1,10).

The value of nature derives from the fact that God created it.  Man’s actions have a direct impact upon the natural realm, the balance of living things in nature.  As Christians suffer from the cognitive dissonance (CD) to see nature stewarded and substantially healed, the vacuum has been filled with New Age pantheism, Earth Goddess worship, tree hugging vegetarian eco-terrorists and multinational corporate environmentalism.  When every man did that which was right in his own eyes (Judges 17:6, 21:25), they had a trust issue with God even though they were told to “Lean not unto thine own understanding” (Prov. 3:5).  It’s the worst kind of CD, because man begins to play God and in so doing, brings the wrath of God upon himself.

Insurance companies call the resulting uninsurable calamites “acts of God”.  The wages of sin can cause a category 5 hurricane.  There are two factors that lead to the destruction of our environment: money and time.  Or to put it another way, those who think greed is good coupled with the mismanagement of our waking hours.  An Old English proverb says, “Idleness is the devil’s workshop”, but conversely, being overly busy with everything except God’s agenda, likewise foments adversity and antichrist think tanks.

So much time and energy goes into the war between sin and repentance, that it has generated an industry of bureaucratic power mongers.  They champion humanitarian causes, while mucking about in other people’s lives.  They operate as parasites and vampires who are healthy only when others are sick.  Their quotient of satisfaction increases in direct proportion to other people’s misery.  The satanic image projected is an appearance of faithfulness, albeit an absence of any problem being solved.  If they really did what they say, they would be out of a job.  Besides, their job is to create chaos out of destruction under the pretense of deliverance from the maelstroms of nature and the axis of evils.

The vast majority of people in the world can see this method of operation, but they just didn’t believe that politicians could be so insanely malevolent.  Hence, the tyranny of the mind controllers prospers when CD is the order of the day.  Or should I say disorder? God is not allowed to be a part of the evening news on TV and isn’t even given an honorable mention when the red blips are moving on the double Doppler weather forecast.  There is no acknowledgement of reciprocity between the dialectics of God and the dialectics of man.  Every time you hear a so called expert commenting on the trends of extreme weather and calamities, you hear about global warming/cooling or the ozone layer, but nothing about the divine causes of drought or tornados.  “The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm” Nahum 1:3.

Do you think there’s a connection between alleged natural disasters getting worse and people not getting a better relationship with God?  “With all thy getting get understanding” Prov. 4:7.   “I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labors of your hands; yet ye turned not to Me, saith the Lord” Haggai 2:17.  Would it be too farfetched for the weatherman to pray ‘live – on the air’ for a tornado to miss a community?  He might get fired.  “Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain.  The Lord will make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone” Zech. 10:1.

Might destructive weather be a means to get people’s attention?  To turn to God for help?  Could God solve the weather problem?  After a tornado ripped apart his town, a local man interviewed on TV said, “Maybe someone up there isn’t happy with us.”  “I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city… yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the Lord” Amos 4:7-8.

If we examine the principle of ‘rejected Sovereignty’, when the Israelites wanted a king like the other nations and in essence saying that God should not reign over them (I Sam. 8:6-7), then by the same token, we should not be surprised that God’s weather is also forfeited and substituted with man’s weather.  If there’s an absence of the Christian ethic in science and technology, you can expect the presence of an ethical tohu (formlessness).

God told our ancestors, “If ye shall hearken diligently unto My commandments… then I will give you the rain of your land in its due season” Deut. 11:13-14.  Yes, every time like clockwork. It will be normal predictable weather year after year. Again, Ezekiel tells us prophetically that when we are cleansed of idols and given a new heart and a new spirit, God will move us to keep His law, “And I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you” (Ezek. 36:25-29).  We have a choice between the hardened hearts of Monsanto getting rich on chemically fertilized, genetically altered hybrid corn for our diet or obeying God’s way of giving us an undefiled natural diet for health and happiness.

Paradise before the Fall must have had perfect weather and beautiful agricultural conditions.  Notice, however, that two trees (of life and of knowledge of good and evil) were presented as a condition to maintain the utopian state.  Whatever they were literally, takes a backseat to the violation which reconstituted the mechanics of the tohu va bohu.  That forbidden fruit, which is symbolic of the cause of cognitive dissonance (CD), was and still is our own self will over God’s will.  Make no mistake about it, those who willingly fail to worship the King, Jesus Christ, “Even upon them shall be no rain” Zech. 14:17.  In principle, this means the world we live in today is wrought with apostasy and even the Christian should prepare their lives to feel the impact of further unseasonable, unpredictable, catastrophic weather, caused by both fallen man and by the Most High.  But, comfort yourself by overcoming the CD, having the wisdom that each day is one day closer to the Day of the Lord and His return.

As for the enemies of God, they cringe at the very thought of reconciliation i.e. “That God may be all in all” (I Cor. 15:28).  Super egos wash themselves in the limelight with dark piety.  As Bush started his tour of Katrina’s aftermath, he said, “I’m not looking forward to this trip. It’s as if the entire Gulf Coast were obliterated by the worst kind of secret weapon you can imagine.” As if he doesn’t have people working for him doing the unimaginable.  Another traitorous president, FDR, said, “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happened, you can bet it was planned that way.”

A little known devilish spawn of one-world government is the Club of Rome, which gave birth to the environmental movement.  They designed a fraudulent computer model as “proof” that the scarce resources of the earth could not sustain global development.  Put plainly, they assert that there are more people than there is food to feed them. Therefore, the Club has called for a scientific reduction in 90% of the world’s population and incorporate a global form of feudalism whereby private property becomes a thing of the past.  In real terms, it is raw genocide married to an insatiable lust for ’eminent domain’ as standard government policy.

Social engineering is an inside job of the power elite to manipulate us commoners. These truly wicked individuals exhibit a total lack of respect for Western Civilization and one would think they have a “covenant with death”; a secret closet full of skull and bones.  Isaiah 28:15 renders the wicked like this, “Who say, we recorded a Treaty with Death, and with hell are in agreement; if the rushing storm should pass, it shall not come upon us; For we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.” The merchants of war have ‘false accusation’ down to a refined science.  They puff themselves up while pointing to others.

In 1997, Sec. of Defense, William Cohen revealed, “Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves.  So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations.”  The Soviet Union discovered and militarized the Tesla scalar wave, which Brezhnev was undoubtedly referencing at the SALT talks in 1975, suggesting the limited development of new weapons “More frightening than the mind of man can imagine.”

Well imagine this: the perfect weapon has always been the secret weapon and the US government is keeping a poker face with its stacked deck of cards. If the effects of weather weapons and accountability can be placed at the feet of nature or God, then those victims of untold suffering will never have the opportunity for a redress of grievances.

Our weather has been stolen from us.  For years this atmospheric warfare has been waged on a daily basis worldwide.  Chemtrails are a big part of this game.  The paradigm shift for all weathermen is now trying to forecast the corporate intent of extreme machinations, and not the natural meteorological processes of earth’s atmosphere.  We are observing weather events that simply have never occurred before, never!

We currently (2011) have had two new record breaking disasters (following Fukishima).  From April 14-16 there were 241 tornadoes rampaging through 14 states killing 46 with over 1000 people homeless.  This storm system has been declared the worst tornado outbreak in history.  And in Texas, massive wildfires have burned 1.4 million acres and hundreds of homes; evacuating whole communities across the state.  There were horses and wildlife on fire.  It has been declared the worst wildfire season in state history and officials say the blazes may not be contained until June.

The ‘Little Ice Age’ that only ended 150 years ago and lasted for 5 centuries is no comparison to the statistically improbable series of events during this past decade.  The frequency of hurricanes and earthquakes is the most noticeable.  But what people do and don’t notice at the same time is the strange high-altitude lines being scribbled in the sky from military aircraft spraying chemicals.  The freakish trails do not evaporate like natural condescension or con-trails, but rather linger and slowly diffuse over hours, turning the sky into a mutant grease slick producing a rainbow corona.  People would be up in arms if they saw someone pouring buckets of oil into the local water reservoir and yet the air we breathe seems to be fair game.  Their CD does not permit them to see or question the possibility of weather engineering.

Off the west coast of Florida, while Katrina underwent rapid intensification, many odd holes bounded by squares in the eye of the hurricane could be seen from satellite photos.  Even a casual observer can see square and right angle clouds after a good dose of spraying and invisible HAARP zapping.  Maybe it’s the occult signature of a square and compass.  Who knows what lurks in the minds of madmen.  All occultists worship nature or aspects of it, rather than the Creator Himself.  They not only worship what is created, but also fulfill the prophecy of Daniel 11:38 and worship “The god of forces.”; thus, the occult worship scientific knowledge.  God is not impressed with pathetic magicians trying to impersonate His omnipotence.

Their favorite expression is, “out of chaos, order” or as one of their minions expressed, “That which we destroy, we create.”  But, as we know, chaos is tohu and tohu is a reciprocal judgment from Heaven for being in opposition to God.  Our Lawgiver gives us the law of effects and desolation, blessings and curses.  Any number of disasters has the potential for population reduction and governmental confiscation of land.

Up to a third of the uprights on the Alaskan Pipeline are threatened with a major rupture if the permafrost continues to thaw, which would release 1 billion barrels of oil per day. A landside at Mt. Rainier could send rivers of volcanic mud and ash into populated urban areas of Seattle affecting 2.4 million people.  An eruption at Yellowstone could kill everyone in a 600 mile radius.  A levee failure in the Sacramento Delta would jeopardize the water supply of 22 million people.  The New Madrid fault line in Missouri recorded the most powerful earthquake in US history in 1811, ringing church bells as far away as Boston and is still active.  A volcano on the Canary Island could create a tsunami wiping out the entire eastern seaboard of the US.  God has provided a long list of potential trouble spots around the world.

The point is that any disaster can result in the destabilization of governments.  This is the objective of the satanic orders; to process the herd mentality under their total control; to incubate the plans of the New World Order as the purpose and meaning of life; to generate nations to rise up against nations and bring forth famines and earthquakes.  A bleak future of doom and gloom, which Hollywood movies celebrate: “For men’s hearts failing them for fear” (Luke 21:26).  Disasters R us; we have always brought it upon ourselves.

On a positive note “The son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” should give every Christian pause for hope and thanksgiving.  “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he” Prov. 29:18. How much CD do we risk before we cross the threshold of devastation?  We’re in a world of conflict to heat, to cool, to feed, to clothe, to house the species and we hesitate between two opinions?  One side has a vision of a fossil fuel economy and someday being a proud shareholder of Halliburton, while the other side has a vision of being God’s covenant people and living by every word that proceeds from His mouth.

Christianity has a real answer to the ecological conundrum.  It offers a healthy and balanced spirit to nature, originating from the truth of its creation by God.  It provides the wherewithal to heal our land. If people are content with the status quo and deny something is happening to our skies, then they ain’t seen nothing yet.  God will have to provide more side effects of CD to convince them that their worldview is flawed.  God is not the cause of death and destruction; man brings it upon himself.  “For the wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23.  The blessings and curses have been spelled out.  Let us not waste (tohu) our time and energy from finding the truth of God.  The truth is: Gods desire for man has always been Paradise and eternal life.

We can still make a choice between darkness and light.  F. Scott Fitzgerald put it this way, “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.  One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise.”  We are inundated with opposition to the Word, but we can “Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good” (I Thes. 5:21).  “And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” Romans 12:2.  It doesn’t hurt to ask for God’s forgiveness and protection against the violent forces of nature and foul weather and then hold up our end of the bargain.  The Christian believer can then see the Word of truth.  We don’t have to be little children any longer if we mature in Christ and not be tossed to and fro and blown away by every wind of doctrine by the trickery and cunning craftiness of those who lie in wait to deceive, because we are a redeemable people and thank God, we have a Kinsman Redeemer.

What Happened to all Those Bits and Pieces?

What Happened to all Those Bits and Pieces?

We are told that there are thousands of satellites in space, many of them now in disuse but still circling the earth. But also admitting that some had fallen to earth. Then, we are told that there are untold numbers of asteroids and bits of rocks traveling though space at thousands of miles per hour. Yet, with all the space capsules and satellites sent up, not one of them had a piece of another satellite or space rock tear into its side? We are also told of the space walks that cosmonauts and astronauts take, yet not one of the have been hit by a rock and killed. Strange!

NASA’s stock answer would be, “Because space is so vast that they have not been hit.” Yea, sure.

I would not be surprised that if enough flat earthers bring this up on their social media sites that space agencies around the world will create a disaster where “astronaut Jimmy Cracker” was killed in a spacewalk. Why not? After all, they got away for years about the 1986 Challenger “disaster,” where, it turned out that many of them are still living today. So, some false flag will be created – IF needed.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

How Can Stars be Measured?

PolarisWhat kind of instruments, according to NASA, can detect stars that are so far away that they are incomprehensibly remote?

Astronomers quantify the distance in space in terms of a light-year. It is determined by the six trillion mile journey a light ray makes in a year.

All light in the cosmos moves at the same precise speed, or roughly 670 million miles per hour.

However, the primary justification for using light years is due to the vast distances we interact with in space. Just estimating the distance to the closest star, a dim red dwarf called Proxima Centauri, which is only 24,000,000,000,000 miles away, produces unwieldy figures if we adhere to miles or kilometres.

Our planet and all the stars we see at night are located within the Milky Way galaxy, which is 100,000 light-years across. In light of that, there have been approximately 5,000 years of documented human history. As a result, it takes light from a star at one end of our galaxy 20 times longer to travel to a star at the other.

In the aeons that have passed since, a galaxy whose light took 14 billion years to reach our small world has shifted even farther away. If we halted the cosmos from growing and extended out a really long tape measure, the present physical distance to that distant signal would be just over 46 billion light years! It becomes difficult to measure lengths across the cosmos, even in light years. But using a common unit of measurement, like miles, is genuinely demeaning. The distance between here and the limit of our field of view is roughly 276,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles.

And it keeps expanding (Source: Earthj/sky.org)

We are informed that NASA has created devices on Earth that can measure distances using light wave frequencies and can record how far, how heated or chilly, how large and how luminous objects are from Earth—up to a distance of 276 trillion miles.

Utilising solar outbursts, solar energy, and atmospheres. through temporal warps, comet trails, and micrometeroids. Gravity is pulled by the asteroid belt and celestial trajectories through the bending of light.

Damn these NASA employees are good!

Unless they are?

Telling someone they are only a tiny, tiny, tiny wheel in a very, very Big Wheel is a surefire way to make them feel incredibly small.

However, why doesn’t anyone even wonder how in the world they can detect such light at such a distance.

Additionally, doesn’t light, like a torch, expand and flare as it moves farther away?  How then can they be certain that the light is coming from a star located a godzillion miles away?

NASA Admits That the Moon Landing Was Fake

NASA Admits That the Moon Landing Was Fake

We can thank all flat earthers for help spreading the truth and supporting websites like this. I’m sure that with the tons of flat earth information out there must have been a factor for coming clean.

How to Explain the Flat Earth to Your Friends

How to Explain the Flat Earth to Your Friends

Rocket in spaceHere are ten simple facts about one of history’s greatest hoaxes that you can use as a discussion beginning with anyone you think might be intrigued. However, if you share these details with your pals, they might decide to terminate your friendship.

However, I think that anyone who already holds the view that the lunar landings were a hoax is a very strong candidate for being able to at least consider the flat earth theory. Having said that, I do have acquaintances who think NASA is a joke and that the lunar missions were a hoax, but who would have a very difficult time accepting knowledge about the flat earth. Imagine how difficult it would be to converse with someone who believes we did arrive on the moon and that NASA is fantastic!

When I refer to “Flat Earth Facts,” I also mean information about the true nature of the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars. I also highlight the fallacies of the globe-earth theory and the falsehoods that have been told to us in an effort to mislead us about the composition of the Earth.

Anyway, here are 10 indisputable truths that ought to at the very least provoke thought…

Since moonlight is a reducing light, it must be a separate type of light source. Why does the Moon’s fullness or absence impact humans if the Moon doesn’t emit any light of its own? Why do moon stages impact farmland and crops? Why does fire react differently to moonlight versus sunlight?

Polaris, also known as the North Star, has never deviated from its location directly above the North Pole and never will. And the North Star is the centre of gravitation for all other stars in the heavens. How is this possible if the (so-called) cosmos is continually orbiting, revolving, and advancing farther into space in various directions?

Why is it that we never see the supposedly “dark side of the moon”? If you want a joke, check up “science’s” justification for why we never see the “dark side,” which is that it does not exist because it is not a ball in so-called “space.”

The Sun and Moon are the same magnitude to the unaided eye.

The faraway sky always remains at eye level no matter how high you fly in an airplane, a hot air balloon, or any other type of vehicle. Additionally, it rotates 360 degrees around you while remaining at eye level. Consider this.

Flat Earth is depicted in the official United Nations emblem. The World Meteorological Organization, International Maritime Organization, and International Civil Aviation Organization all have flat globe maps as their logos.

A North-South circle of the “globe” has never been attempted? Why? There is no such thing as a “south pole” because the Earth is not a spheroid, making it impossible.

Launches of satellites and the space shuttle always produce enormous parabolas in the sky and can even be seen with the unaided eye as if they were returning to earth.

Animal and vegetation life are vastly distinct between the northern and southern hemispheres. The quantity of living would be comparable between the Northern and Southern Latitudes if the Earth were a ball. The truth is that the North is remarkably verdant, while the Southern Latitudes have surprisingly little life.

After his “One small step for man,” Neil Armstrong displayed odd behaviour and a lack of interest in participating in interviews for the majority of his life. If he was so interested in this “giant leap for mankind,” why wouldn’t he do interviews? Shouldn’t he feel compelled to make himself accessible for questions, being one of only a few individuals to have ever set foot on the Moon? Never did he set foot on the moon. He was aware that his entire existence had been a lie, and that the untruth would fall apart under close examination. So, stay away from talks. I imagine that until the day he passed away, his regretful consciousness over having participated in the fraud consumed him.

Should Housing Prices Go Up?

Should Housing Prices Go Up?

Housing Bubble 2

By Richard

The article “Should Housing Prices Increase?” by Richard, argues against the common notion that housing prices should always increase. The author questions why property prices should increase even when there is no demand or when there is still plenty of land. The article also argues that if property prices were to decrease, it could be beneficial for the economy as it would make housing more affordable for first-time buyers. The author also draws a comparison between housing and other commodities like cars and furniture, which generally decrease in value.

We are aware that housing prices have increased for many decades and several generations. We accept this as the norm. There have been books and mentors instructing you to invest in real estate and make money. People have made millions of dollars through real estate. However, should housing prices rise?

If the value of real estate decreased, probably 99 percent of individuals would be unhappy. There would be those who invest in property would like to see a continued increase. There are those who want their property to be worth significantly more by the time they retire. You may wonder why anyone would desire a decrease in property prices.

Have you ever considered that the economy would benefit from property depreciation? I haven’t heard a single person say that. However, I recently had an epiphany and thought of this. Here is what I believe would occur if the value of real estate decreased. Permit me to rewind a bit before I continue.

Consider automobiles; in general, do their values increase or decrease? Consider any item in your residence, including appliances, furniture, and tools. Do they increase in value? Consider office and manufacturing equipment; do their values increase or decrease?

We are all aware that their value declines. There are, however, exceptions, such as a classic automobile whose value increases over time.

In essence, the value of man-made objects declines. But there is an odd exception, and that is with real estate.

The majority of individuals would respond, “They increase in value due to supply and demand; since there are more people, prices should rise.”

This is a plausible explanation. Ultimately, supply and demand are the driving forces behind a capitalist market.

Now, I will concede that a property in need of repair should increase in value; after all, something that is repaired or replaced is beneficial to the homeowner. If a location is desirable, and more people are prepared to pay a premium for existing buildings, then it is advantageous. For instance, it is acceptable for the population of a sparsely populated area near the shore to increase in tandem with the number of people who wish to reside there. I have no objections to that. What I’m discussing is this.

  • Should property, in crease in value, in general, when the residence or commercial property needs repairs?
  • Should property values increase when there is still plenty of land?
  • Should the number of dwellings increase if the population is stagnant?
  • Should real estate prices rise when there is no demand?

I suppose not. Despite this, we observe consistent growth regardless of the economic, social, or geopolitical climate.

The crucial query is, “Is an increase in property value beneficial for the average citizen?” I repeat, an emphatic “no.”

Why?

Because more individuals could afford accommodation. Numerous first-time purchasers can’t afford a residence; this is the world’s most pressing issue today. Those who can must finance the majority of it. Depending on the amount of interest they pay, they could pay twice as much or more over a period of 25 to 30 years.

Let’s discuss automobiles now.

We have all come to assume that the price of an automobile decreases as soon as the buyer drives it off the lot. This applies to both new and used vehicles. And nobody is complaining. People dislike the decline in value, but we all accept it. We tolerate it because the vehicle is now used and will eventually require maintenance. People have endured this reality for generations.

Even a flawlessly functioning used automobile loses value. A residence that is 50 years old and fully functional is still considered used. And with used items, either maintenance or replacement is required. We all tolerate this when it comes to automobiles, but not when it comes to residences.

What would happen if car prices, including those for used vehicles, rose? How many individuals could afford it? Not many. Young adults can now afford to purchase a car to commute to work due to the decline in automobile prices. Even if they reside close to their workplace or took public transportation, this is irrelevant. When people advocate for this position, they are essentially stating that they want us to be like the impoverished in many countries where everyone commutes to work by bicycle.

This is the mentality of communists: “Good, everyone should take public transportation.” Mobility is an essential element of existence. Even if you resided close to your workplace, there are instances when you must drive to another location. Or, you wish to travel to a different location in half the time required by public transportation.

If the price of older residences had decreased over the past century as automobile prices have, no one would complain and everyone would tolerate it. If society were structured in this manner, more individuals would own residences. If some individuals favoured apartment living, that’s fine. The apartment expenses would also be reduced.

Everyone would have more disposable income for vacations, retirement, and inheritance.

If residences were less expensive relative to other man-made items, fewer individuals would require a mortgage. Consider the following if you purchased a home for $250,000 with a mortgage. And, depending on the duration of the mortgage and the interest rate, you were required to pay an additional $250,000 in interest; imagine what that could have done for your family. You could purchase shares of a reputable company. I am sure you can come up with a variety of uses for a quarter-million USD.

At the turn of the 20th century, 95 percent of the population did not have a mortgage. Few individuals borrowed money to purchase a car. Consider how this benefited everyone.

The reason why property prices are not as low as they should be is because financiers make the majority of their money from mortgages. Therefore, rising property prices benefit bankers and speculators.

Since the majority of properties for sale are older, the majority of people would pay significantly less than they do now. Few, the top 3%, benefit from high real estate prices, whereas lower prices would benefit the majority of people.

Which way do you want it? The decision is yours to make.

How Can People Live with Themselves?

How Can People Live with Themselves?

Crises actressThis is a picture of crises actress. You may ask how these people can live with themselves. If someone is hired to play a part for some government preparedness, they might believe it, which I understand. But when they see their face in a news coverage on TV that the event was real, you may wonder how they can live with their conscious.

Well, it all started back in the first years of school by being told everything came from the Big Bang, spinning balls through space and evolution; that we all evolved from the sea creatures. From there, they are taught there is no God as the Bible explains it. Starting from a child we are all taught we are a more intelligent animal; that there is no right and wrong; do your own thing, etc.

Whereas, if this girl was taught of a flat stationary earth that was created in six days, with a firmament above and Heaven above that, she would not have done this. She would have spoken out that she was used, that the government lies.

But you see, this is the whole aim of covering up a flat earth – then, be default, it makes government your god.

Do you see how important it is to reach those with the flat earth truth and then follow it up with other biblical truths?

Be Ye Not a Respecter of Persons

Be Ye Not a Respecter of Persons

Weekly Sermon, 25 March 2023

The problem that many Christians have, when it comes to learning about the flat earth, is that they respect their pastor/priest above all else. They also respect others, such as doctors when it comes to health; teachers who when it comes to history and social studies; government when it comes to war; media “talking heads” when a false flag event happens; and on it goes.

“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”

-Genesis 1:29

In the beginning, God told Adam and Eve that they were to eat the fruits, vegetables, and specifically, their seeds. When I was growing up I was told not to eat the seeds of fruits, just like this nutrition book from 2014 teaches:

“True, fruits and vegetables also don’t come with any warning label. The difference is that humans have had thousands of years of experience with fruits and vegetables–we know that apples are safe but don’t eat the apple seeds. We may not know that apple seeds are full of a chemical called amygdalin that is converted by our gut enzymes into cyanide–we just know from our ancestors that it’s a bad idea to eat them.”

-Neal Adams is a surgeon who has appeared on news broadcasts around the world.

The Bible tells us to eat the seeds, but this author tells us not to, so we have a conflict. Someone is wrong. Even though the author did not back up this claim with any sources where this information was proven, those who are respecters of persons (i.e. they trust the word of a PhD no matter what he/she says) may refuse to read any farther down the page because they trust in the words of men with degrees over the Word of God, but the Bible tells us that respecting persons is sin.

“But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.”

-James 2:9

I’m not saying everything a doctor says is bad or wrong, but we need to stop trusting that everything they say is good, right, and automatically in our best interest. Often, people have gone to other doctors for a second opinion and gotten conflicting advice, so we need to start researching matters for ourselves to make educated decisions about our health.

“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.”

Acts 20:29-31

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

-James 2:1

In the list of the most commonly committed sins in church buildings, respecting persons is near the top, even though most churchgoers remain blissfully ignorant that they are guilty of doing it, and sadly, it is similar to my teaching on “The Biblical Understanding of Idolatry,” because many who need to understand this message will not read this article. (i.e. Those who are guilty of idolatry think they are not idolaters, as those who are guilty of respecting persons think they are not guilty of sin.) As someone who grew up going to various church buildings, I can confirm through personal experience that this subject is rarely (if ever) discussed in church buildings. Most often, the only teachings ever done by the church building pastors is about not judging someone if they don’t wear the right type of clothing to the church building (i.e. not respecting persons because someone isn’t wearing a fancy suit), but those are milk-of-the-word messages that allow churchgoers to remain unaware that they are guilty of sin, and I hope to build up Christians in the strong meat of the Word, so they can go forth and rebuke this sin.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; [i.e. the prophets] and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

-Hebrews 5:12-14

The typical church building preaching addresses only the subject of not judging someone with poor clothing, and that is by either ignorance or design because respecting persons benefits the leavened preachers. I’ll cover more details on that later, but pastors in general would not be able to make near as much money, nor have near as much fame and influence over others, if people did not automatically respect their person.

The first thing we need to recognize is that respecting persons is SIN, just like murder, idolatry, rape, theft, adultery, covetousness, fornication, etc; it’s not just something passively frowned upon in Scripture. The great commandment of the law and prophets, to love the Lord God and your neighbor (Mat 22:36-40), cannot be kept if Christians are respecting persons; meaning that you are not loving the Lord God and your neighbor if you are a respecter of persons.

If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

-James 2:8-10

One of the common ways churchgoers respect persons is by assuming, or presuming, that someone with the title “Pastor” or “Doctor” in front of their name automatically gives them more credibility; meaning that if someone is a “Pastor,” they are more trustworthy, or that they are unwilling to hear opposing arguments from someone who is not a “Pastor.” In the context of these verses, the word ‘person’ is not referring to a man, woman, or child in general, but it is referring to an office, station, status, or any other such thing that is attributed to the man, woman, or child.

I have seen this more times than I can count, especially when I attempt to teach a churchgoer the truth of New Testament doctrine that contradicts what their pastors of have taught them. I commonly hear the excuse, “But my pastor said *insert false doctrine*.” The problem is that when I quote the Word of God, saying “God’s Word says,” and the man I’m talking to quotes back to me, “My pastor says, they are showing me their foundation of faith is in a man (i.e. a pastor) and not God.

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

-Jeremiah 17:5

Again, I’ve seen this happen so many times, I would never be able to count them all. I’ve had many letters written to me in which a man doesn’t like that I rebuked his pet doctrine in one of my teachings, and would write me saying, “You should read what *insert pastor* wrote about this,” which means instead of discussing the doctrine, and using the Word of God to talk about the subject (which most of them can’t do and are afraid to do because they are stuck in the milk of the Word), they refer to their favorite pastor, and go by his word, instead of God’s Word.

Don’t misunderstand; there’s nothing wrong with quoting someone, as I’ve done that many times, but when people are trying to use a “pastor” or doctor” as a shield against believing or obeying the commandments of New Testament doctrine, there is a foundational problem with respecting persons. In other words, they respect a pastor more than they respect God, they respect what a seminary “doctor” says more than they respect Christ, they respect what their dad told them more than they respect the Bible, etc.

The Lord God does not respect the persons of men, and therefore, concerning the things within the Body of Christ, we ought not to respect persons either:

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

-Acts 10:34-35

It does not matter to God where you live, where you were born, how much money or education you have. Every man and woman on this earth, from the wealthiest king of a nation, to the poorest homeless man, will be judged by the Holy and Righteous God; however, He is a merciful God, and looks favorably upon those who are humbled to repentance and tremble in fear at His Word:

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite [grieved in sorrow for their sin] spirit, and trembleth at my word.

-Isaiah 66:2

The Lord God very rarely uses strong, well-educated, wealthy, and pretigious people to preach His Word; the Bible specifically tells us that He looks for the weak, foolish, poor, and lowly people to give His wisdom and understanding:

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base [i.e. lowly, those who the world considers worthless] things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.

-1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Before continuing, let’s read a general definition of respect:

respect (n): regard, attention, estimation of honor based on worth, looking to someone based on the qualities of the mind or actions characterized with valued qualities

(See ‘respect’, American Dictionary of the English Language, Noah Webster, 1828, retrieved Oct 26, 2017,[webstersdictionary1828.com])

Please don’t think that respect is evil; it certainly is not. For example, we respect the Lord Jesus Christ by looking to Him, giving Him our attention and honor because He is the Holy God, whose character and qualities are beyond compare, and in that context, respect is a good thing. In a lesser sense, we ought to respect a judge over a courtroom if he judges in righteous discernment for the good of the people. You can even respect a cashier at a grocery store if he shows himself worthy of respect by providing efficient service with a humble attitude.

The problem is in respecting someone’s PERSON, which is honoring them based on their title, status, and position, rather than judging them on their mind and character. A judge in a courtroom can put away dangerous criminals, or he could also take bribes to allow dangerous criminals to go free, and so it is possible to mistakenly respect a judge who is himself an extortioner. A cashier at a grocery store could work hard and seem kind, but he could also be a thief who steals from his store and from customers, and so it is possible to give respect to a thief. Thus, to judge someone based on their title means that you are automatically respecting the value society has placed on the position, rather than judging the man by his words and actions.

The common teaching is that if a homeless person came into the church, don’t treat him different because of how he looks or smells, which is somewhat addressed in James 2 (we’ll get to that later), but there is far more meaning behind this. There are two main definitions to the word “persons,” the first is an individual, which is how we most commonly use it, but in the context of “respecting persons,” it means a character of office.

In summary, respecting persons is to give heed, attention, and/or favor to one person over another based on a station of office or title.

In a hypothetical example, Jason makes a Scriptural argument that “Pastor Bob” is teaching in error, and the church, in their hearts, has less respect for Jason’s argument because he isn’t a “pastor,” they are respecters of persons. (This happens quite often.) In another example, an atheist refuses to hear a Christian because he doesn’t have a “theology degree;” that’s respecting persons. The titles of pastor, deacon, elder, doctor, reverend, or any other flavor inbetween, are all titles that were not used among one another in the early New Testament church, and it makes sense because as soon as you start calling a man “Pastor Bob,” Bob then becomes raised up above everyone else, when Jesus taught us the opposite..

(Read “Titles Are Unbiblical in the Church” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

-Matthew 20:25-28

Respecting persons is also very closely linked to the teaching we did on judgment, and how many churchgoers have been taught not to judge anything or anyone, but the Bible teaches we are judge all things. Jesus told us we were to judge righteous judgment, which would be judgement in accordance with His Word, and not judge according to the outward appearance, like how they look, how charismatic their speech is, or what kind of fancy title they have.

(Read “Unbiblical Cop-Outs: Don’t Judge Me!” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

-1 Corinthians 2:15

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

-John 7:24

Churchgoers judge things all the time, every day, and then hypocritically sit back and think they don’t judge anything or anyone. I find it amazing that you could go into any church building out there, walk up to a woman who thinks you shouldn’t judge people, and say, “You look very pretty in your dress today,” and she would almost always answer in total hypocrisy with, “Thank you, that’s so sweet,” because if she was not a hypocrite, she would have to turn around and say, “How dare you judge me?” (i.e. They love judgment that makes them feel good, but they hate righteous judgment.)

If a child’s ball bounces across the road and you hit the brakes on your car, you are judging the situation, potentially protecting the life of a child who may haphazardly run into the road to chase the ball; that’s righteous judgment. If a rapist broke into your home to assault your daughter, and you shoot him to protect her, you’re judging righteous judgment. Even if you drink hot soup, you judge it first to see whether or not it will burn your mouth, and the point is that EVERYONE judges things all the time, everyday, and if you didn’t judge anything, you would die very quickly. However, when someone judges according to the appearance of a man, they are not judging according to rightousness, because they are not judging the mind and character of the man, but rather, they are judging their position and title, and I would like to remind readers that titles and positions don’t preach doctrine, titles and positions don’t act or speak, titles and positions don’t have a conscience—people do.

For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

-Deuteronomy 10:17

For there is no respect of persons with God.

-Romans 2:11

I should also note here that the Bible rebukes respecting the persons of the poor as well. This also happens quite frequently, especially in our modern-day American society, as the “minorities” in many situations are given more credibility. If someone is black, female, and grew up in a poor society, she seems to be given more credibility for what she says because of her “poor” or “oppressed” status, even when what she is teaching is wrong and dangerous. It’s the same situation as respecting the persons of high status, but just reversed in a situation where the person of low status is given more honor; whereas someone like myself for example, a white male, who would expose the wicked fornicater, adulterer, communist, and pagan heretic Martin Luther King Jr, would be yelled at (and possibly attacked) by a crowd of King-supporters, and would be more willing to hear someone with black skin, while hypocritically claiming that they are not racists.

(Read “Wolves in Costume: Martin Luther King Jr” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

I have had many letters written to me concerning my rebuking of a pastor (or some other popular preacher or musician) for teaching false doctrine, or in more simple terms, I rebuked him for lying to people and proved it with Scripture. In these letters, there was no Scripture, there was no correction about my quotations of the wicked pastor (meaning that I quoted him correctly), there was only complaint that I had done “something” wrong. What had I done wrong exactly? I almost never get any direct answer from any of the letters; I only get whining opinions, in which they basically say, “How dare you rebuke this pastor?!” The problem is that they are guilty of the sin of respecting persons, meaning that they regard his person as a pastor, and in their own eyes, those who rebuke the pastor can’t be right with God because they worship the pastor as if he is the equivalent of God.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

-Proverbs 3:7

The reason they respect persons is because they don’t respect the Lord Jesus Christ as much as they respect men and tradition:

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

-Matthew 15:8-9

Notice specifically the Lord Jesus Christ said that they worship him in vain when their hearts are far from him, meaning that all their “praise & worship” songs they sing in their church buildings are 100% useless when they believe and teach false doctrines, and when they give respect to men who believe and teach false doctrines. I recall a “music pastor” (even though there is no such thing in Scripture) I rebuked for teaching numerous false doctrines, and his response was a complaint that I didn’t know anything about him because I had never been to one of his “worship sessions,” but the Lord Jesus Christ says that when they teach the doctrines of men, their worship is in vain; thus, he is requesting that I judge him according to his appearance, and I refuse to do so.

The Lord God told the Jews he would not hear their songs and melodies because they worked unrighteousness and taught false doctrine:

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

-Amos 5:21-24

The problem is that, because men have a pastoral title, churchgoers think they can say and do no wrong, and that all their traditions are accepted with God:

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments [i.e. first teachings] of the world, and not after Christ.

-Colossians 2:8

Much like the Pharisees in the days of Christ, those with titles love to have preeminence among men.

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

-3 John 1:9-10

preeminence (n): superiority in rank, dignity, power, or influence

Thus, they became pastors in the first place because they wanted others to respect their person. Most of you reading this have not been pastors, so consider for a moment that you are one; you are set in high esteem by the public in general, everyone in the church building listens attentively to what you say and takes your words very seriously, and in exchange for your advice and teaching for 30-40 minutes once or twice a week, they give you praise and a paycheck—when was the last time you had a job like that?

Can you now see why the position is coveted by so many people? Even on a low-income church building, it’s still a really lucrative job.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

-1 Timothy 6:10

Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s [i.e. profit’s] sake.

-Titus 1:11

There are many men I’ve met who are pastors teaching false doctrines in the church buildings, who love the respect people give to their position. Everywhere they go, they are greeted with the respected title of “pastor,” and are given special benefits and privileges.

Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

-Luke 11:43

Whether it’s a pastor who loves to be called by his title, or a priest that wears his black garbs and loves to be called “father” (which is anti-biblical – Mat 23:9), there are many such examples that can be given for people who love to have preeminence among men. It is also not uncommon in the church buildings to have special reserved seats for pastors up in the front, if not on the very stage itself.

For example, John Hagee and his son Matthew have chief seats reserved for them in their synagogue:

(Read “Christian Ministries Teaching Evolution” for more details on John Hagee teaching Evolutionism.)

Every churchgoer I’ve met who has a pastor that has a chief seat like this in their church building has immediately started making excuses for it. I have not seen an immediate repentance and rebuke of their church building, but rather, they always try to justify themselves.

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

-Luke 16:15

Jesus said:

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

-Matthew 23:5-8

A Rabbi is a teacher just as a Pastor is a teacher, and these men love to go throughout the community and be hailed as “Pastor, Pastor!” because they love the premminence. They love to have their person respected, just like the Pharisees, who would make phylacteries, which is a wooden box with some Scripture in it that they would tie around their foreheads, and they would sometimes make a larger phylactery, and then people would think, “Wow, he’s so much holier because look how big his box is!” It’s complete vanity, but pastors today do similar things, where they try to build bigger cross symbols, and have wider, flowing garments, or fancier suits, and more lights and better sound stages; it’s all vanity.

The most common excuse I’ve heard churchgoers use to justify this vanity been given is from Romans 13:

Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

-Romans 13:7

The context of Romans 13 is talking about governing leaders and submission to government authority. These verses have NOTHING to do with church leadership. However, churchgoers will continue to use these verses because they don’t have anything else to justify their sin of respecting persons, and therefore they will use the Word of God under false pretenses in their iniquity so they do not have to repent and sanctify themselves.

(Read “Should Christians Submit to Governing Authority?” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

For example, Gary Linton, pastor at Ministrymaker Ministries, uses this same argument. After quoting Romans 13:7, he says:

“There’s honor in being called by God and we are to give honor to whom honor is due. They are not better than anyone else, but respect is to be given for the office and calling. By showing respect for the pastor and church, we also show respect for God.”

-Gary Linton, “The Churchs Responsibility to Its Pastor,” Ministrymaker Ministries, June 10, 2017, retrieved Nov 2, 2017, [ministrymaker.com/churchs-responsibility-to-its-pastor]

So as you can see, he took Romans 13:7 out of its context and applied it to pastors, which was his first mistake. Then, he said that respect should automatically be shown to the office of a pastor, and when I read on in his article, he never gave any circumstances in which a pastoral office should not be automatically respected. This is the very definition of respecting persons because he’s not judging the doctrine being taught and the actions being taken by a pastor; rather, he’s simply giving respect to a station, and that respect allows him to freely err and sin without rebuke.

Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

-Deuteronomy 16:19

As a side note, Linton goes on to teach other unbiblical things, which is why I do not respect his person either. For example, he teaches that the altar in church buildings (i.e. the place where altar calls are given) is a holy place that must be honored, when the truth is that the altar was designed for church buildings in the 1800s by a wicked man who was not of God, and that tradition has carried on due to the unbiblical “Revivalism” movement. However, because many respect his person in sin, instead of judging righteous judgment, they will never see the truth of the matter.

(Read “Revivalism: The Devil’s Design” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

Here’s an example of a pastor who demands that the people in the congregation respect his pastoral position. The following video clip is Jim Standridge filmed at Immanuel Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma:

This pastor’s message was filled with phrases like, “I’m important. I’m somebody… you listen to me,” and “You’re one of the sorriest church members I have. You’re not worth 15 cents,” but he still has the nerve to judge their “bad attitudes.” Perhaps they were sorry, perhaps they were not worth 15 cents, but this pastor is judging himself to be better than others.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

-Philippians 2:3

This is what happens when a preacher gets lifted up in his pride; he forgets where he came from, and starts hypocritically judging others, pointing out their attitude problems when he hasn’t checked his own. The Bible calls this “haughty” and “vainglory.” He also commonly used the words ‘I’ and ‘me’ an awful lot when he talked about the spiritual matters of the church, and there was not one mention of the Spirit of God nor the Lord Jesus Christ in any of his ranting against those people.

(Read “The Biblical Understanding of Pride” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

-Matthew 7:5

What’s even worse was that after the display of pride and railing on the congregation he was speaking to, he walked up to one of them and said, “You know I love you, right?” Then put on a show of making the man stand up and give him a hug as a display for the masses to make the outside of the cup and platter look clean:

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

-Matthew 23:26-28

If Standridge had repented of the pride and hypocrisy in his heart, that would be understandable, and we could forgive the matter and move on. However, in a news interview after the incident, he said:

“I know I’m right, and I know I haven’t done anything wrong.”

-Jim Standridge, “‘You’re Not Worth 15 Cents!’: Baptist Preacher Isn’t Sorry For Yelling At Congregation During Viral Sermon,” Business Insider, July 5, 2013, retrieved Nov 2, 2017, [businessinsider.com/baptist-pastor-jim-standridge-not-sorry-2013-7]

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

-1 Corinthians 10:12

We can know what’s in his heart by what comes out of his mouth. Despite what the typical churchgoer claims (i.e. “You can’t know what’s in someone’s heart; only God can!”), it is possible to know what’s in someone’s heart to a certain extent.

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

-Matthew 15:18

Such men need to be removed from the church if they will not come to grief and godly sorrow of their wrongdoing. However, they remain because all fear the pastor because they respect his person, trusting in fair speeches rather than the Word of God.

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. -Proverbs 29:25

He that hateth dissembleth [hides under a false appearance] with his lips, and layeth up deceit [lies] within him; When he speaketh fair [pure and innocent], believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart. [Pro 6:16-19] Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness [sin] shall be shewed before the whole congregation.

-Proverbs 26:24-26

Wicked, warmongering false preacher Steven L. Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church also lifts himself up in the pride of his heart and demands much more directly that people respect his person by telling them that his first name is not Steven:

ANDERSON: “What I don’t understand sometimes, is how sometimes, people don’t figure this out. It’s like, I feel like Jesus said to Philip, ‘Have you been so long with me and you do not know me?’ You remember when he said that? It’s like, have you been at Faithful Word Baptist Church for so long and you haven’t figured out that my name is not Steve?! It’s ‘Pastor Anderson!’ Have you not figured that out?… It’s not ‘Hey Steve! Hey Stevie! Hey buddy old pal!’ And you know, it’s time for some people to give honor unto whom honor is due, and the pastor of the church not just a little buddy who comes in here in shorts and t-shirt!”

Did you notice the Romans 13 problem I mentioned earlier? Anderson uses this same false doctrine to justify himself because he learned to do that in his seminary college.

This problem is not just with these few men, it’s everywhere I’ve seen. I remember one pastor I talked to who said it was a dishonor and insult to God if people didn’t refer to him as “Pastor Chad.” These men commit sin in their hearts, and remain willingly blind to it because their pride is so great, and remember that God does not give His grace to proud of heart:

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

-James 4:6

A Lutheran website with an anonymous author provided an answer to a question about respecting the “pastoral office:”

“Q: ‘It seems to me that people of today’s generation do not respect the pastoral office as much as previous generations. Is this a valid observation?’

A: Your assessment unfortunately appears to be on the mark. Clergy scandals, preachers espousing liberalism, and money-hungry pastors often hit the headlines, and this has probably taken a toll on the way pastors as a whole are perceived in every denomination. Years ago the laity tended to have a high view of the public minister, but some of the respect may have been attributed simply to his credentials as being more educated and learned than the average person in his parish and even in his community. Today this isn’t so much the case. Our congregations are filled with lay people who often have just as much formal education and/ or degrees as does the pastor who serves them.”

-Anonymous Author, “Pastoral Respect,” Evangelical Lutheran Synod, retrieved Nov 2, 2017, [els.org/resources/answers/pastoral-respect]; Read “Denominations Are Unbiblical” here at creationliberty.com for more details.

This anonymous (i.e. cowardly) author is not judging individual doctrine that is taught, but rather, he is assessing the general station of a man given the title of “pastor.” The people who have looked down on the pastoral title due to scandals (i.e. sin) and the love of money are not judging the doctrine each individual is teaching, but rather, they are just giving their overall opinion of whether or not they think the position of a pastor in general is good, and there is no rebuke from this anonymous author to set them straight on not respecting a man’s person because, after all, I’m sure whoever he is, he too is in a position of leadership in which he demands respect.

What gets even worse is that the anonymous author then says the reason people don’t respect the pastor is because both parties have college degrees. In other words, now that the “ignorant laity” has titles as fancy as the pastor, they don’t respect him anymore. This demonstrates everything the Bible teaches about not respecting persons, that if we would hear the doctrine of a man, and have respect to him for teaching the truth, or not respect him because he teaches lies, we would then be following Christ instead of the traditions of men.

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

-Mark 7:13

To give a more simple example, let’s suppose your neighbor has a chihuahua (a small dog) named Princess Buttercup. Buttercup is a vicious dog that bites visitors, rips up furniture, and makes a horrible mess everywhere she goes. One day, she decides to run over to your property and start biting and ripping the paneling off your house, and when you grab the first gardening tool you find to chase her off, your neighbor comes out and says, “Hey, don’t disrespect her! She’s a princess!” The absurdity of respecting a dog, no matter what the animal does, simply because it has the title of “princess,” is absurd, but churchgoers do it ALL THE TIME, EVERY DAY for pastors and doctors without thinking.

The following quote is from a teaching given by another author who remains anonymous:

“And so here is the apostle telling them now at Thessalonaika how they are to treat this aspect of the total ministry of the Church, how they are to regard the ministry of the elders and the pastoral office. And he tells them that they are to respect it. They are to respect those who work hard who are among them, and who are over them in the Lord, and to hold them in the highest regard, in love, because of their work. Mark that. They are to hold them in the highest regard not so much because of themselves, but because of their WORK. That is what is meant by respecting the pastoral office. It is not because the pastor might be charismatic. It has nothing to do with his being a nice man. They are not to have a high regard for the pastoral office because the pastor happens to be a man with an engaging personality, or because he happens to be the kind of person who is easy to get along with, a man whom one can easily talk to. By the same token, the pastoral office is not to be disrespected because the pastor may be none of these things! No doubt an engaging personality, being easy to get along with and talk to is immensely helpful to the pastoral office but that is not the reason that the apostle Paul urges the people to respect the pastoral office.”

-Anonymous Author, “The Pastoral Office: A Guide to Pastoral Leadership,” The Messianic Evangelicals, retrieved Nov 2, 2017, [nccg.org/169Art-PastoralOffice.html]

Simply put, he’s saying that, no matter good or bad, right or wrong, mean or kind, the office of a pastor is to be respected. Again, this is the very definition of respecting persons. First, we need to read the verses this anonymous author is referring to:

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

-1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

There are a number of problems with the above quote, but the first is that he is quoting from some new-age bible version, which causes a lot of problems. Most of the people I meet who fight against the basic doctrines of Scripture do not use the King James Bible; not to say that anyone who uses the KJB is teaching the truth, but rather, putting oneself on the foundation of God’s pure and perfect Word is a good first step to understanding and sanctification.

(Read “Why I Use The King James Bible” here at creationliberty.com for more details on the confusion and false doctrine taught in new-age bible versions.)

Next, notice that in 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul did not say to highly esteem pastors specifically. He said “them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you [i.e. to counsel against wrong practices],” which applies to elders, evangelists, prophets, apostles, and an assortment of other things which I cover in more details in an article we have called “Is the One-Pastor Church System Biblical?” However, this anonymous author is only suggesting that these things apply to “pastors.”

Finally, the problem is not highly esteeming those who labor in the Body of Christ, because we ought to highly esteem the laborers for the sake of the work being done for the Lord Jesus Christ. The reason for this is because, if they are teaching truth and righteousness, sanctification and repentance, faith and mercy, as the Bible instructs us, then they are here for our good. I can speak from personal experience on this, that I RARELY am treated with such respect; there are very few people in this world who would give me that honor, even if I held a pastoral title (i.e. I don’t hold a title, and I am not a pastor), and I am disrespected BECAUSE I teach truth, righteousness, and sanctification, just as the Old Testament prophets (e.g. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc) were disrespected for doing the same thing.

(Read “Is The One-Pastor Church System Biblical?” here at creationliberty.com for more details on the problems with modern-day definitions of church leadership and the structure of the typical building that do not follow Biblical instruction.)

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

-Matthew 5:11-12

However, judging the work of a man is NOT the judgment this anonymous author instructs us to make; rather, he instructs us to respect the OFFICE or POSITION of a person who claims to labour in the Word. The anonymous author is not teaching us to judge the doctrine the man teaches, but rather, pay no heed to what he says, and just accept and respect him simply on the basis that he has a “pastoral” title, which is part of the new-age ecumenical doctrine that all who claim to “believe on Jesus” are automatically saved no matter what evidence they provide.

(Read “False Converts vs Eternal Security” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

Paul pointed out to the Corinthian Christians that he sought to cut off “occasion” from those who desired it, and in this context, occasion means “opportunity or convenience,” meaning that they are people looking to gain material wealth and “glory” (i.e. praise, adoration, honor, fame) from their position over the congregation. What Paul is saying is that there are many people (i.e. “deceitful workers”) that will come into the church for the sake of the money and respect they will automatically get from people, and that one of the reasons it is sin to respect their office is because they are the ministers of the devil.

But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion [i.e. opportunity, convenience, special benefits] from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

-2 Corinthians 11:12-15

When Christ warned the apostles about the deception of teachers, He specifically pointed out to beware their “leaven,” and once the disciples had reasoned out what He was saying, they realized He was warning them to beware of their DOCTRINE (i.e. beware what they teach):

Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees… Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

-Matthew 16:6-12

The Bible does not tell us to highly esteem such men, but to rebuke and reprove them, and specifically in Ephesians 5:11 (see below), it says NOT to have fellowship with them. (That is, unless they repent. – Luke 17:3) If we were to highly esteem men who teach the false doctrines traditionally taught by most pastors today, then we would be respecting that which is highly esteemed among men, meaning that we are respecting his person and not judging righteous judgment, so let us stop judging a man by how he appears (e.g. suit & tie, stands behind a pulpit, is called a “pastor”), and start judging his words in comparison to God’s Word.

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

-John 7:24

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

-Luke 16:15

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them… all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

-Ephesians 5:11-13

Cherry-picking verses is why so many preachers teach false doctrine; because God’s Word was designed to be taken line upon line (i.e. getting the context of the verses), and here and there a bit (i.e. multiple passages in different books of the Bible will give the entirety of the doctrine).

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

-Isaiah 28:10

The above anonymous author continues to tell everyone:

“It is not the man — the pastor — that is important, it is the work, it is the message, it is the office of the pastor which is worthy of esteem.”

-Anonymous Author, “The Pastoral Office: A Guide to Pastoral Leadership,” The Messianic Evangelicals, retrieved Nov 2, 2017, [nccg.org/169Art-PastoralOffice.html]

However, as we saw earlier in the definitions used by Scripture, it is the office (i.e. the person) that God does not respect, and when we respect that office, we sin and it blinds us to the truth. The Bible teaches exactly the opposite of what this anonymous author teaches. I will respect any man if he teaches the truth of God’s Word in purity and sanctification, but when they start teachings lies, and encourage others to teach lies, I have no respect for the Devil.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

-John 8:44

Yet, most people who claim to be of Christ fight against me when I teach about the sin of respsecting persons because they highly esteem titles. If there is anyone in this world who has done the most to prevent me from teaching the truth of God’s Word, it has been the churchgoers, the church buildings, and especially the so-called “pastors” of America. The pastors have often strived against me because they have prestige and a paycheck to protect, but the churchgoers fight against me because they don’t want to believe that all the happy-go-lucky, funtime, feel-good messages and traditions they are accustomed to are evil, and neither party wants anyone to correct them each other because they all benefit from their sin.

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

-Proverbs 15:10

Their pastor gives them a feel-good message they enjoy, and they don’t want to hear the truth, so they would rather believe the lies of tradition than have their eyes opened:

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap [i.e. pile up or mass together] to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

-2 Timothy 4:2-5

We are supposed to make proof of our ministry, enduring the afflictions (i.e. grief and hardship), letting people judge our ministry by what we teach; not to just have our ministry respected from day one because we are called “ministers.” As we read earlier in 2 Corinthians 11, there are men who are so-called “ministers of righteousness” who serve at the Devil’s pleasure. Yet, many go and listen to these devils and believe in their fables because they have itching ears, meaning that they want to hear a fanciful, feel-good message that makes them feel warm and gooey inside so they can have their ears scratched.

I’ve heard the excuses from churchgoers over and over and over: “Well, it’s not like that at my church. No, we’re not like those people.” And yet, to this day, I have still not seen a church building I would be willing to attend and be a part of because of all the leaven I’ve seen in them. (This is not to say that there are no church buildings that do what’s right; perhaps there are, but they are extraordinarily rare, much more so than the average churchgoer wants to believe.)

The Bible does not say there would be tons of Christians all over the place, and millions and millions of people going to heaven everywhere. God’s Word tells us that MANY go the way to destruction, and FEW find the way to life:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

-Matthew 7:13-14

All of us have been guilty of respecting persons at one time or another, and so I’m not saying that if you respected persons that you’re going to hell because we are not saved by works; we’re saved through repentance (i.e. grief and godly sorrow of sin) and faith by the grace of Christ, but respecting persons is still sin, and we still need to repent. Those of you who have attended church buildings for many years in your life will understand most everything I’ve said here; you will know the general level of “awe” that is granted to a pastor by those who surround him, which is a form of worship and fear of man, rather than God.

It’s sad that churchgoers often say to me, “Oh, our pastor’s not perfect, but he’s a good guy,” and yet, they treat him as if he is perfect. If you don’t believe me, then test it for yourself by sending them this article, and watch how many excuses you get in return, assuming that they’ll even take the time to read it.

Again, many of these pastors take up a job as a pastor in the first place because it’s a position where they get preeminence (i.e. rank, influence, pwoer), and it’s easy pay. They preach their wicked, false “storehouse tithing” sermons and watch the money roll in, and that is what they were taught to do by their seminary college. (i.e. a “Pharisee Factory.”)

(Read “Is Tithe A Christian Requirement?” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

-Matthew 13:22

Just like the preacher we saw in the video earlier, they feign an outward appearance that they love their congregation, but inwardly, they are covetous. They are making merchandise out of people.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

-2 Peter 2:3

In our article, “Is Tithing a Christian Requirement?,” I document research studies done that, out of a sample size of 1500 evangelical church buildings, 70% of the pastors said they didn’t study the Bible on a regular basis, and at least 50% of them said they would quit being a pastor, but they had no other way to make a living. (The study concluded much more than that, so read the article if you want more details.) This is what it means to make merchandise of you; they want get up behind the pulpit once a week, do a song and dance to entertain you, rake in their tithe/paycheck from your wallet, and then go back to living their deceitful lives while expecting you to respect their title of “pastor.”

One of the ways they entertain is through their long show of prayer. The preachers lead people to think they are deserving of honor and respect because of how loud, long, and sanctimonious their prayers are during their church services:

(Read “The Biblical Understanding of Prayer” here at creationliberty.com for more details.)

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

-Luke 20:46-47

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

-Matthew 6:5-7

I guarantee that these men do not yell and dance around foolishly when they are alone in their closets. They do this to put on a show of entertainment for the masses, and the only reason those church-going masses don’t brand the man as “insane” is because they respect his person and are willingly blind to his wickedness.

I’ve met people who are afraid to listen to what I teach because they fear their pastor and what he would say or think. They fear men; they don’t fear God.

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

-Proverbs 29:25

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

-Proverbs 1:7

To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

-Proverbs 28:21

Those men demanding the respect of their station are evil in their hearts; I don’t care how “good” someone wants to claim them to be, the Bible says that they are willing to sell you out for a meal ticket. People whine about their feelings, and that they “feel” like he’s a good preacher, which means they trust in the feelings of their hearts, but a few verses later, Proverbs says:

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

-Proverbs 28:26

Job had three friends, and there was another man with them, a young man named Elihu. After he heard Job try to justify himself to be righteous, he rebuked him sharply and said:

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.

-Job 32:21

He told Job the truth, and did not respect his person. This is what God would have us to do; judge men not according to the appearance, and not to be a respecter of persons in our judgment.

These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

-Proverbs 24:23

People who respect persons are not only willingly blind, but as I have already state, they allow “respectable” men to deceive them:

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

-Romans 16:18

The types of people who respect persons make the following kind of arguments (and these are actual arguments I have received in emails):

“You’re wrong because my husband is a pastor and he says…”

“You’re wrong because my dad taught Sunday School for 20 years and he says…”

“You’re wrong because I go to Bible college, and my professor says…”

This type of argument is a logical fallacy called an “Appeal to Authority.” In it is logical form, it looks like this:

“Bob says X is true. Bob is a pastor. Therefore, X is true.”

For example, this type of argument takes place a lot in the Catholic Church. A Catholic will say, “‘Father’ Williams told me this bread and wine has been turned into the actual flesh and blood of Jesus. Williams is a priest, so it must be true.” Despite the fact that it is still literally bread and literally wine, the Catholics still consume it under the assumption of transubstantiation (i.e. the process of turning wine to blood) because a priest told them it was so, and they respect his person as a priest, so they don’t dare question him.

(Read “Corruptions of Christianity: Catholicism – Chapter 3 – Mass/Eucharist: Never-Ending Blood Sacrifices” here at creationliberty.com for more details)

In the end, whether pastor or priest (which are the same in most respects nowadays), they are deceiving many people, and scattering Christ’s sheep because they have not sought the Lord God:

For the pastors are become brutish, [i.e. savage, ignorant, untaught, brutal] and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

-Jeremiah 10:21

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

-James 2:1-4

In this context, “gay” means “happy or pleasant,” so the man who wears the “gay clothing” means the one who wears the clothing that is esteemed by men, and those who would wear the type of clothing that is being described are those of high office. That’s why he goes on to refer to these men of high station as “rich men.”

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

-James 2:5-7

For example, we know a judge by the long robes that he wears before sitting at the bench, just like we can recognize the Catholic Pope by all the “gay clothing” he wears. This is talking about judging a man’s character to be noble and righteous based on the clothes he wears, which is a reflection of the wealth he has that his high station has provided him, and thus, they give them positions of honor and seating because they have not judged their character, but judged their appearance and respected his person.

If you were waiting at a doctor’s office, and man came in wearing a lab coat and a stethoscope around his neck, you would take him to be a medical doctor at first glance. However, if he assessed your medical problems and recommended a lollipop as the cure, you would begin to question if he was really a doctor or not, and that is good judgment because you are judging what he is teaching rather than how he appears.

The Lord Jesus Christ did not tell us that those highly esteemed in His church were to be elevated to a status above others, nor our entertainers, but rather, they are supposed to be our servants:

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

-Matthew 20:25-28

Respecting persons falls under the category of idolatry because it is a form of worship by respecting a person’s dress, ability, education, and/or title, rather than looking at the facts. Respecters of persons listen far more to those with a title, wealth, and/or fame, than those without, and that is why, over the years, I have had some young men write me and tell me that they cannot start up ministry because they have go get a degree first, or in other words, they knew that in order to get people to respect them, they needed a degree. (i.e. They want people to respect their person automatically, rather than having earn it from the ground up by being a servant and proving their ministry.)

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

-Psalm 82:2

He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.

-Job 13:10

Charles Spurgeon had a very poetic way of talking about the sin of respecting persons among the Jews, concerning the Pharisees, Sadducees, chief priests, elders, and scribes:

“They used very grand phrases in those days, and doctors of divinity were very common, almost as common as they are now; and the crowd of doctors and rabbis helped to keep each other in countenance by repeating one another’s fine names till they believed they meant something. Dear friends, it is very difficult to receive honor and to expect it, and yet to keep your eyesight; for men’s eyes gradually grow dull through the smoke of the incense which is burned before them;”

-Charles Spurgeon, quoted in The Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Sermons Preached by Spurgeon in 1875, p. 413

I agree. It’s like what I said before, the more his person is respected, and the more people respect his person, the more both parties are blinded to the truth:

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

-Luke 6:39

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked… As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

-Revelation 3:17-19

And when someone like myself, who is without degree or fancy title, comes along to rebuke these prestigious men, the people most often just turn off their ears and refuse to hear. Instead, they answer me with rebuke before even hearing me out.

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

-Proverbs 18:13

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

-Leviticus 19:15

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

-Deuteronomy 1:17

As the Body of Christ, if we refuse to respect a man’s person, and treat all equally, we become a peculiar people in the eyes of man. It doesn’t matter how smart they are, it doesn’t matter how famous they are, it doesn’t matter what title or authority they carry, we treat them equally. It’s something this world is not used to because the world judges in the unrighteousness of respecting persons all the time, every day, everywhere we go.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

-Titus 2:13-14

There is no person alive today who is immune to the temptations of pride, and I too have been guilty of respecting persons, to which I have repented (i.e. had godly sorrow for my wrongdoing) and sanctified (i.e. separated) myself from such hypocrites and corrupt institutions. I pray our Lord Jesus Christ would remove the pride from our hearts, so we can see clearly to guard against all forms of respecting persons, and thereby become a peculiar people that will glorify Him.

Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

-2 Chronicles 19:7

But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

-Galatians 2:6

It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

-Proverbs 18:5

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
