    The moon only lights on one half of the total sphere. Look at it some night, you can see the lighted side and dark side of the moon (a Pink Floyd plug). This language of the “face” of something is interesting (Job 26:9-10). The Earth is flat because of the face of the Earth, and the phrase “the inhabitants thereof” and the anthropomorphism given to God (Isaiah 42:10), but on a sphere the face can only be (as on the human head which extends) from ear to ear, so to speak. This is a general explanation, not a comprehensive answer. There are no dark objects. If so where do they go during the day?
