My Computer in the Repair Shop

Computer in the Repair Shop

There will be a delay in posting more on this blog because my computer is in the repair shop and I was told it will not be ready until next week. I’m using another computer, of course, to make this. I hope that my old computer is repairable, but if it isn’t, I’ll just get another one.

Thanks for being here.

Kind Regards

Richard….Just discovered this site a few weeks ago and can’t compliment you enough.  I’ve received questions such as “If the earth is flat, why is the moon round????”. I’ve searched your site and can’t seem to find the answer. matthew

Glad that you found us and that you enjoy reading what we have. For a short, short, answer to your question as to why is the moon round, think of it like this. The moon is like a spotlight, which is round. Like a spotlight on a stage does not indicate that the stage is the same shape.

Thank you for the reply….it is very appreciated.
I’ve been trying to answer that with “Just because a lightbulb is round doesn’t mean the floor isn’t flat”

‘Just because the lightbulb is round, doesn’t me the floor is round, too.’ Is what the wording should be 😉 But more importantly, is: That doesn’t mean the Moon is round as what we see is a circular shape. Example, someone could put a flat disk that shines light high up in the atmosphere. And, in reality, it’s not: reflecting the Sun’s light, it’s not a globe, and from where we are, doesn’t indicate the shape of what we are standing on. Hope this makes everything clear.
