There are millions of Christians who believe the way they do simply because they don’t want to offend others who go to the church they do. This applies not only to the belief in the flat earth but on ANY topic that is controversial in the Bible. In other words, if someone who believes in something that is “politically incorrect” they don’t want to do their homework as they are afraid of where it might lead.
When you believe in something that is biblically correct but not “politically correct,” you will alienate some people, including family and friends.
As a flat earth believer, some people will think that you are a “nutter,” and might avoid you. Your mind might think of this before you tell others. Or, you might tell others of your discovery, go through ridicule, and, after a while reject the flat earth talk. You might even “convince” yourself back into believing in the globe earth theory with the hope that you will be accepted back into your group of friends and your church group. Many people live their lives this way rather then believing in the truth, in this case, God’s word. But remember what Christ told us, that because the world hated me, they will hate you, too. Sadly, many Christians don’t want to go through this. This applies to those who are not Christian – as they don’t want to lose their friends.
If you go to your average church, you will not offend those of other religious beliefs or those who have no belief at all. Why? Because everything has been water downed, twisted or omitted in order to be acceptable to everyone. If you are in a church like that you can be sure that your pastor or priest are telling you lies.
You were not told in the Bible that life would be easy, that you’d be accepted, that you’ll have prosperity in your life. You were told that there would be trials and tribulation and one thing that brings that on is your belief. The flat earth is one small part of not being “politically correct,” but are you will to go through with it? It’s not lonely at the top of the hill, there are just few people there. Why not live the truth and be with the small group that also lives by the truth. Life in this age is but a short time but life with Christ is forever.
