What Other Lies Are We Told Concerning the Bible?

As a person knowing that the earth is flat, you have come to know that we are not the truth about the nature of earth from the Bible. There are over 100 verses – all pointing to a stationary contained earth.

You can go to 100 churches and you will not be told that our earth is stationary and that it has a dome called a firmament. If you bring it up, you would be laughed out of the church. So, now that you know the truth; you know that we are lied to in churches or that the pastor simply doesn’t know this, as he was not taught this in seminary school. You must ask yourself what other lies we are told concerning the Bible. Or, what other topics that the pastor honestly doesn’t know, as he was not taught.

When the pastor or priest honestly believe something that is not the truth, he naturally tells his congregation.

However, knowing that the earth is flat and stationary, you should be asking what other Bible truths are not told.

Your next question would be, “Where can I find this information out; what church can I go to; what other sources should I search for?”

Before we go on our search for other biblical truths, think of the other lies that we are told. Now, I realize that not every flat earth believer knows about other secular lies but there are many that do. There are many flat earth videos and even websites, like my own, that covers other lies. So, if you are one who thinks that everything else we are told about is the truth from the government, keep an open mind to do your research.

Now, speaking to other flat earthers, we know that there are many other important things that we’ve been lied to such as: controlled demolition of The World Trade Towers, how the pharmaceutical industry keeps us sick in order to make more money. The lies that we are told about what foods are good to eat, while really being toxic to our health. The lies about how only the central bank can create money and give value to it – thereby keeping us all in debt. And I can go on and on.

Your first question might be why they are telling us all these lies if what I say is true? The bottom line is that they are different ways in which they can control us and make the maximum profit from us while we are hear on earth. These coverups are a way to hide from us that there is a creator God who brought everything into existence.

By having us believe that there is no God, or, for others, that there is a God but He doesn’t get involved in the affairs of men; the goal of convincing the people that man is in charge. When people believe this, they are more likely to obey those in charge. In short, that we must obey man’s laws, as God does not control the affairs of men. And this is exactly what is preached in the churches – that God’s laws have been done away with; that we must follow Ceaser. That the New Testament done away with the old laws.

When evil men, many years ago, knew that they would have to get the people to believe that God’s Laws, Statues and Judgments are done away with, they knew that they would have to infiltrate the seminaries and the churches to get the people to believe otherwise. When the Christian population believes this, it makes them like obedient followers of whoever is in power. Well, such biblical teaching could not be further from the truth.

Now, it would take a book to go into detail of what it’s biblically wrong to say that God’s Laws, Statues and Judgements are no longer in force. However, you can find a ton of information from such sites as: ChristianIdentityChurch.wordpress.com, ScripturesForAmerica.org, AmericasPromiseMinistries.org and other site. You’ll have enough information here to keep you reading for several years to come. Only after you listen to a couple of sermons on this topic, you should be able “to connect the dots” to see why were not old this truth.

Yes, saying that God’s laws have been put away with is a major coverup to get the people to willing obey whatever laws they are told to obey. This is a conspiracy, if you will, that is bigger than what happened on 9-11, or the fake landing on the Moon, or saying that pharmaceutical drugs are safe to take.

I could go on and on to show you the harm it does to people who think that God’s laws have been done away with. But if you take time to look at the above websites; spend the time in study, as you did when you learn about the flat earth, you’ll come to understand that is another truth that is covered up in the Bible, you’ll understand why. There is more to come, but let’s take this one at a time. In a short while you’ll have all the pieces of the puzzle that forms this matrix that keeps us slaves.

Only with God’s help can we break out of this matrix and really be free, healthy and prosperous.

What Other Biblical Truths Have We Overlooked?

As a flat earth believer, we know that we’ve been lied to that the earth is a spinning ball. We also know that pastors and priests do not say anything about the earth being flat, stationary and having a firmament (dome). The lies could be simply by omission, ignorance. So, what other biblical truths have been covered up? Most flat earth websites and videos don’t touch on this topic, but this site (christianflatearthministry.org  ) does cover it. We are not just about the flat earth but also of other related cover ups.

Once a person begins questioning long-held assumptions about the Bible, another question naturally follows: What else have I accepted simply because I was taught to accept it? That is not a call to believe every alternative explanation that comes along. It is a call to examine what we have been taught, compare it carefully with Scripture, and determine whether our beliefs truly rest upon the Word of God.

Many Christians grow up hearing particular interpretations of Scripture without ever investigating those interpretations for themselves. They trust pastors, churches, denominations, seminaries, commentaries, and traditions. In many cases, those teachers are sincere. They are simply teaching what they themselves were taught.

But sincerity does not guarantee correctness.

A pastor may honestly believe something and still be mistaken. A congregation may repeat an interpretation for generations without stopping to ask whether the interpretation actually agrees with the text. This is one reason personal Bible study is so important. We should never surrender our responsibility to search the Scriptures merely because someone else has a title, degree, position, or reputation.

The concern raised here begins with differing interpretations of biblical cosmology. Some readers believe that numerous passages describe the earth as stationary and enclosed beneath a firmament, and they conclude that modern astronomical models contradict a straightforward reading of those passages. That interpretation is strongly disputed by other Christians, including many who understand such biblical language differently. Whatever conclusion one reaches, the larger question remains worth asking: Are we willing to examine Scripture for ourselves rather than simply assuming that the interpretation most familiar to us must be correct?

Do Not Confuse Tradition with Scripture

One of the easiest mistakes Christians can make is confusing what the Bible actually says with what we have always been told that it says.

There is a difference.

Jesus repeatedly confronted religious leaders who had allowed human tradition to overshadow divine revelation. Mark 7:8 records His words:

“For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men.”

That warning should humble every Christian.

A doctrine does not become biblical merely because it has been taught for hundreds of years. A belief does not become true because nearly every church in a community agrees with it. Neither does an unusual interpretation become true simply because mainstream teachers reject it. Both traditional and nontraditional claims must be tested by Scripture and, where they make claims about the physical or historical world, by reliable evidence.

Our responsibility is not to defend a religious tradition at all costs. Neither is it to embrace every contrarian claim. Our responsibility is to seek truth.

Acts 17:11 praises the Bereans because:

“They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

Notice that they listened, but they also searched.

That should be our pattern.

Asking Questions Is Not the Same as Knowing the Answer

Once a person concludes that an authority has been wrong about one subject, there is a temptation to assume that the authority must therefore be wrong about everything. That just might be the case.

If someone discovers that a pastor, scientist, politician, historian, doctor, or teacher made one serious mistake, that discovery should encourage greater discernment. But discernment means examining each claim according to its own evidence.

We should ask questions such as:

What exactly does Scripture say?

What does the passage mean in context?

Am I reading my preferred conclusion into the text?

Is the claim supported by reliable historical or scientific evidence?

Can I distinguish between something that has been demonstrated and something that is merely suspected?

Have I listened fairly to arguments on both sides?

These questions protect us not only from establishment errors but also from alternative errors.

Look about the lies we’ve been told about September 11, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, banking, the Moon landings, and other subjects. Each claim needs to be investigated independently. If our goal really is truth, then our standard of evidence should remain consistent regardless of whether the conclusion supports or challenges our existing worldview.

The Greater Question: What About God’s Law?

There is, however, a theological issue that deserves serious attention regardless of one’s conclusions about those other subjects: What relationship does the Christian have to the law of God?

Many Christians have heard statements such as, “The Old Testament law has been done away with.” But such statements can be dangerously imprecise.

The New Testament certainly teaches that Christians are not justified by works of the law. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ceremonial aspects of the Mosaic covenant also find their fulfillment in Christ. Yet none of that means that God’s moral character has disappeared or that good and evil are now determined solely by civil government.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

He continued in verse 18:

“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

Whatever theological distinctions we make concerning covenant, ceremony, civil administration, and moral obligation, Christians cannot simply treat God’s commandments as irrelevant.

Paul writes in Romans 7:12:

“Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

Those are not the words of a man who regarded God’s law as evil or meaningless.

Grace Does Not Make Sin Righteous

One of the great misunderstandings concerning grace is the idea that being under grace means that God’s standards of righteousness no longer matter.

Paul confronted that reasoning directly.

Romans 6:1-2 says:

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

Again, Romans 6:15 asks:

“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

Grace does not transform wickedness into righteousness. Grace saves sinners and teaches them to live differently.

Titus 2:11-12 says:

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.”

The Christian therefore cannot reason, “Because Christ saved me, God’s commandments no longer matter.”

Quite the opposite. Redemption gives us every reason to desire obedience.

Jesus said in John 14:15:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

Must We Obey Whatever Government Commands?

Another important question concerns civil authority.

Romans 13 teaches that Christians should recognize legitimate governmental authority. First Peter likewise commands believers to honor lawful civil rulers. But the Bible never teaches that civil government possesses unlimited authority or that obedience to men takes precedence over obedience to God.

Acts 5:29 gives the governing principle:

“Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

The apostles were not anarchists. They did not reject government merely because they disliked being governed. But when human authorities commanded them to violate God’s command, they recognized a higher authority.

Daniel followed the same principle centuries earlier. When a royal decree prohibited prayer to anyone except the king, Daniel continued praying to God.

Daniel 6:10 tells us:

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.”

The law of the state had changed.

The law of God had not.

That distinction is vital.

Christians should not become rebellious merely for the sake of rebellion. But neither should we transform government into an idol. Caesar is not God. Presidents are not God. Courts are not God. Legislatures are not God.

Jesus said in Matthew 22:21:

“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.”

Notice that Christ distinguishes the two.

Caesar has a legitimate sphere.

God has the ultimate claim.

Corruption in Government and Churches

It is possible for governments, corporations, churches, and other institutions to lie. History provides abundant examples of corruption, propaganda, fraud, abuse of power, and concealment. Christians should therefore never believe that questioning powerful institutions is somehow unbiblical.

But there is another danger: once we become convinced that deception exists, we can begin interpreting almost everything as part of one enormous hidden scheme.

That can make us less discerning rather than more discerning.

Scripture commands us to prove things.

First Thessalonians 5:21 says:

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

That means we must test conventional claims.

It also means we must test unconventional claims.

We should not believe something merely because a government agency says it. We should not believe something merely because a popular preacher says it. But neither should we believe something merely because a video, website, author, or speaker describes it as suppressed information.

Truth does not fear investigation.

Search the Scriptures for Yourself

The most valuable habit we can develop is disciplined personal study.

Read whole chapters rather than isolated verses. Compare Scripture with Scripture. Study words in context. Learn why Christians disagree about difficult passages. Examine historical claims using primary sources whenever possible. Separate demonstrated facts from speculation. Pray for wisdom, and remain willing to correct your conclusions when the evidence demands it.

Second Timothy 2:15 says:

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Notice that Paul says study.

Biblical understanding requires effort.

You should not expect a pastor to perform all your thinking for you. You should not expect a website to do it either. Listen to teachers, certainly. Read books. Compare interpretations. Investigate arguments. But continually return to the Word of God.

Isaiah 8:20 declares:

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

That should be our standard.

The goal is not simply to discover that other people have been wrong. The goal is to become people who love truth enough to examine ourselves as carefully as we examine everyone else.

There may indeed be biblical teachings that many churches neglect. There may be traditions we need to reconsider. There may be assumptions that collapse under careful study. But the answer is not suspicion for suspicion’s sake. The answer is diligent study under the authority of God’s Word.

Search the Scriptures. Ask difficult questions. Examine the evidence. Refuse to confuse popularity with truth, but also refuse to confuse controversy with truth.

Above all, seek God with humility.

Jesus said in John 8:31-32:

“If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

True freedom begins not merely with discovering that somebody else was wrong, but with bringing our own minds, assumptions, traditions, and lives under the authority of truth.
