Private Home Ownership A Thing Of The Past
Who Will Eventually Own Everything, Including You?
I think by now that most of you know that owning a home will be a thing of the past. If you don’t realize that, I invite you to check out some of the videos below.
After viewing one or two of the videos you might ask what my thoughts are. I don’t have a crystal ball but here are some thoughts. First, if you have your own home, great. If you can afford to buy one, great. If homes are selling faster than what can find online (like the experience my wife and I had), here is a suggestion. If you know a friend, family member or aquanice, offer to buy their home. This way, you’ll get it at a reasonable price and before it gets on the market. Otherwise, you will have to settle for a rented home and you’ll have to pay inflated price at that. Then there is the problem of rent increase each year.
Another thought is, if you can buy a piece of land and put a camper on it, it might be the best option. Or, you might build a mini-home on it. If this is the option you choose, you should check out YouTube videos of people who have done this. If you can live off the grid, great.
Finally, there are millions of Americans who have opted to live abroad and have been doing so long before Covid. Now that it’s become almost impossible to buy a home you might want to check out another country where they have more freedom – and there are countries that have more freedom. I know, I’ve lived in a couple of them.
I know that moving overseas is not for everyone but if it’s for you, check into it. There are two magazines called Escape From America and International Living, where expats write about their living experience in countries all over the world.
Elon Musk Purchased Twitter
You probably know now that Elon Musk purchased Twitter. There were many promises he made in how to make Twitter better but I’m not holding my breath for the simple reason that Google and Apple will not allow their app in their stores if Musk really supports free speech. Also, there are many countries that do not allow free speech – even though they say they support free speech. So, these countries could block Twitter from being accessible to their citizens. An example would be, those countries where you can be put in prison if you doubt that 6 million Jews were gassed (Germany, France, Austria, just to name a few). Time will tell where this purchase will lead to.
