Examining The Bible Verses That Have the Word “Heathen”
One of the biggest problems facing Europe and North America are the refugees that are entering our respective countries. As a Christian nation how should they be treated? Doing a search in the KJV Bible, the word “heathen” appears in 145 verses. Below are some of the verses, which are in italics, followed by my comments.
And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. (Lev 26:33)
And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. (Lev 26:38)
And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. (Deu 4:27)
Here we see that having the heathen among us is a curse. You can also say that NOT having the heathen among you is a blessing.
And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. (2Ki 17:8)
God, Himself, cast out the heathen from the nation of Israel.
And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger: (2Ki 17:11)
Here we are told that doing the same thing as the heathen (burning incense in high places) is wickedness.
And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them. (2Ki 17:15)
The people of Israel rejects the statues (laws of God) and did what the heathen did, which God told them not to do. Do we not do this today? We have practices and beliefs that are like the heathen. We certainly have, as a nation, rejected the laws, statues and judgements of God and have our own man-made heathen laws. When I speak of the “heathen” it would be any religion that is not in alignment with God’s Word. It would include the Muslims, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists. Also the many cults that call themselves Christian, such as: the Mormons, Jehovah’s Witness, Scientology, would be included. Let us not forget the televangelists who include, but not limited to, Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Rick Warner and others.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (2Ki 21:2)
When we are in obedience to God’s Word, He casts out the heathen but what do we hear from our “leaders?” “Bring them in. they have rights, give them a house to live in and money to live.” Then you have the media complaining that the (Muslims, for example), “Don’t integrate; they don’t assimilate.” Well, thank God that they don’t! For if they did, we would be like the other great nations in the past that were destroyed by such integration.
Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. (2Ch 28:3)
This is what the Spaniards found when then entered Mexico and came across the Aztec. What they were doing was so horrible that they destroyed them. Do we not do this today in the form of abortions?
So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel. (2Ch 33:9)
If you go to a non-white country that is heathen, and you go back to the United States, for example, you will find our people do worse than what is done in non-Christian countries. I know, as I lived in a non-Christian country and you did not read of the murders and rapes that you do in the U.S. (I’m not speaking for all non-white countries, though.)
And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat, (Ezr 6:21)
Here, we are told that we should separate ourselves. But when people do that, the enemies of Christ would say that it’s hateful, that it’s racist. Well, so be it. I really don’t care what names they call us.
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? (Psa 2:1)
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. (Psa 2:8)
Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. (Psa 9:5)
The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. (Psa 9:15)
You don’t need millions and millions of heathens in the land in order to act contrary to God’s laws. All you need are a few well placed non-Christians in position of power to introduce laws that are contrary to Christian living. A rich non-Christian supports a Congressman and contributes to his campaign in some way in return if he supports certain laws that will be introduced. Of course, these same people infiltrate the churches and change their teachings; that is how millions of Christians say they don’t see anything wrong with _________ (whatever it is that is heathen in nature).
Is it any wonder why we have so many biblical errors taught in the churches today, such as, “the law has been done away with,” and “we should do nothing to defend ourselves.” All of this was started by by some heathen somewhere that influenced so “Christian” who was greedy for money and did their bidding. The result is, that we have most Christians who think that it’s OK to bring the heathen into our land. Well, this is actually a curse by God for not obeying him.
