Biblical Cosmology, part 1 of 8

Here is a hard-hitting scripture lesson on biblical cosmology, shown in an eight-part series. There are many good Christians who believe in the globe spinning Earth, including those in the Christian Identity movement.

NASA says that we are zooming through space at hundred of thousands of miles per hour, as well as the Earth spinning around the Sun. Yahweh, God says something different. We know that non-Christians will believe anything that the “scientists” say. While many Christians also believe what they say and, and at the same time, say they believe what God says. So, in order to not have cognitive dissidence, they twist Scripture so as to match what we are told from the government. Their reasoning goes something like this:

• It’s symbolic language
• It’s an idiomatic expression
• There’s a translation error in the King James Version
• They twist Scripture in such a way as to match what the “scientists” say

Take your pick. However, for those who finally are convinced that the Earth is truly flat and stationary with the Sun moving above the face of the Earth, will they admit that they were wrong? I know that I did, and there is nothing wrong with admitting that you were once wrong.
